Biography
- Dr. (Mosase) Lofton is an Urban Watershed Resilience Advisor for University of California Agriculture & Natural Resources (UC ANR) based at South Coast Research and Extension Center (South Coast REC) in Irvine, CA. She serves Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
- Her research goal is to enhance sustainable water resources management in both urban and agricultural settings. Her research focuses on improving drinking and Environmental water quality, promoting water use efficiency in landscapes/agriculture, and improving water supply security.
- Her research is conducted at a range of scales such as: surface and ground water basins, watersheds, neighborhoods, and field or household scales. Dr. Lofton conducts experiments, integrated hydrologic modeling, storm water, water quality and groundwater modeling, and geo-spatial technology (GIS & Remote Sensing) to find solutions.
- Her research is geared towards providing recommendations and guidance to stakeholders such as: watershed and storm water managers, policy makers and the public to make better decisions on water resources management.
