The Program Policy Analyst provides high-level analytical expertise in developing, coordinating, and administering programs that fall under the purview of the UC Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) Vice President and Associate Vice President of Programs. The position carries out ad hoc projects that arise from the UC President's Office, government partners, state agencies, industry, and UC academics, among others. The responsibilities include: strategic planning; developing and implementing rigorous evaluations of UC ANR's statewide programs; facilitating high-level meetings comprised of internal and external stakeholders; and writing of the highest quality. This position is part of the Program Planning and Evaluation team, working together to analyze data and write concise and compelling impact statements and stories for strategic communication and advocacy purposes. The specific portfolio of this analyst will vary depending on the VP's needs. This position is responsible for complete development, oversight, coordination, implementation, analysis, and reporting of all assignments given. The incumbent uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; examines, analyzes, interprets, and develops solutions, and implements plans on a wide range of issues. It is essential that this position develops comprehensive action plans while meeting tight deadlines.

The home department for this position is Program Planning & Evaluation. While this position normally is based at the Office in Oakland, CA, this position is eligible for hybrid flexible work arrangements, for applicants living in the State of California, at this time.  Please note that hybrid flexible work arrangements are subject to change by the University.

This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed.

Pay Scale: $82,900.00/year - $117,600.00/year

This position will promote, in all ways consistent with the other responsibilities of the position, accomplishment of the Affirmative Action goals established by the Division.
